Update on Jacobean work by
BDS2pds
I am kind of in a quandry. I have gone through 7 different silk companies and
can not find the hues that coordinate with the DMC choices on my Tree of Life I
have discussed previously. Now I am wondering if I should just go ahead ,
against my best judgment, to do the piece in DMC or Anchor. I...

Hi all! Hope I don't offend anyone by asking this question as it's not
totally stitching related.
My daughter is having her very first baby in May, and we're so excited
that we ... or me exactly ... could just burst! (It's a boy and his
name is John). Anyhow, I'm looking for an "old fashioned"...

morning question (garden report) by
Caryn
It depends on the variety or cultivar of tulips. Many of them will flower
early, mid-season and late.
If you say so! lol
These were planted by the previous owner, I keep meaning to add more bulbs, but
never manage to remember I meant to during the right time in the fall!
I am hopeless!

Trivia for the day! by
Cheryl Isaak
From Uncle John's Bathroom Reader for 3/5/04
Wool is scratchier than most fabrics because it stimulates two types of
nerve endings at once. The pressure of the wool again your skin activates
the itch nerves and the individual fibers tickle the nerve ending that are
wrapped around your hair...

OT. Friday snicker!! by
Gillian Murray
There were three Medieval kingdoms on the shores of a lake. There was an
island in the middle of the lake, which the kingdoms had been fighting over
for years. Finally, the three kings decided that they would send their
knights out to do battle, and the winner would take the island.
The night...

Back Stitching "Rules" by
Tia Mary-remove nekoluvr to reply
Hi Guys,
There is a thread going on over at the AOL needlework board about
backstitching. The question about what the "rule" is came up so I thought I
would ask here as I know we have a number of people who are certified to do
judging. When a piece is entered in competition is it the rule that...

OT - taxes ... by
Julie
I am so bummed today. We found out that an expected IRS refund has dwindled
from $1013 down to $112.** ... and because we e-filed and had the return
e-deposited into our account, that $112 had $64 of fees taken out of it . Turns out
that that child tax credit check last summer was the problem. ...
