Cooking was Karen's Thoughts by
Caryn
If you were thinking of the safety factor Dianne, I don't recall ever
hearing they caused fires. I expect they just expire, rather than
burst into flames.
I have killed two, both of them blew a thermostat and the food just boiled the
whole time.
No fire, just way over cooked glob!

Beyond "Ordinary" Embroidery........ by
lula
Since I posted about creating an original embroidery "illustration" of a
Russian folk art Father Frost in swirling snow, I've been rethinking the
project all over again and wondering why my enthusiasm for this project
was starting to wane recently.........
It was while I was looking through...

Mary, thank you so much for keeping track. You have no idea how helpful that
is. I am the absolute worst administrator on the planet. Your gracious
effort
has been very appreciated.

OT -- U.S. Army Reserve Duty by
Jere Williams
I have a totally off-topic question, but one that seems to acquired
importance in my life very recently.
I seem to recall that there are several people who read this newsgroup who
are either in the reserves or related to someone in the reserves.
If someone who is in the Army Reserves says he is...

EAC Mystery Project by
Jeanine3
Anyone doing this? I had lots of fun over the weekend using lots of
specialty fibres that I had bought previously for other projects. It
looks very pretty. I guess I had too much fun, 'cause I'm done all the
stitches and have three long months to wait to go any further!

Firehouse Angel: the goodies are on the Cape by

(Emailed to Victoria, Tia Mary and Dianne, and posted)
And our mail carrier, apparently sensing that this was important, even
delivered The Big Tube right to my door.
Victoria and Tia Mary, you have done a splendid job in preparation: the
laminated chart, the velcro'd scroll bars, the sorted (and...

Matilda, beyond ordinary embroidery and inspirations by
Linda Wright
I want to thank everyone who has been posting to these threads. You
have inspired me to look for a new project that is fun, whimsical and
light. Of course, first I have to finish at least one of the two XS
WIPs I have (both promised to people), but I am looking. I'll keep
you posted!

Stitching in Tupperware thing by
Pirjo Ilvesvuori
Hi again!
I know...I have almost completely left you out of my life. Why? Because I
knit...mainly. But I also stitch. And that is why I am here. I let you know
about the last Sunday.
My friend Armi promised me she'd do the driving. So she did, and I went
along with Armi and Jaana. They both are...

I want to cover a couple of small oval and round cardboard boxes (bought
from Michael's) with fabric (black taffeta for one). The boxes are
small, like 3 inches across. As they are rounded, I was thinking that
this is going to be no easy task. Does anyone know of some resource
material to give me a...

This person found a great sale and *overbought*?!? This isn't
overbuying; this is some kind of compulsive shopping behavior. I think
I've been behind this person in line at the checkout counter at one of
those stores...
