Abstract by
MaciejZabawa
In this section I would like to introduce all the works which began my
adventure with intensive looking for my own artistic identity. They
all come from my efforts to find my own way and individual style,
against trends that already exist in the arts. First board that I made
is "Second me" ....

Michael[_2_]
I got another order of glass today. It was sitting in a big box on
the front porch when I got home. Wahoo! What a pleasure to unwrap
and look at all those beautiful sheets of glass. I also got a couple
books with colored photos of old glass in them, Old Stained Glass for
the Home and Antique...

Have you noticed? by
Moonraker[_2_]
There is a long thread on warmglass.com about Canadians buying supplies, and
how hard it is for them to do business with supply houses.
I thought it was especially telling that NOBODY mentioned Brady as a source
for anything. It's too bad he got banned from WG, he could be spamming the
hell...

Copper taping machines by
Michael[_2_]
Well here is probably another tired subject. I've heard some speak
approvingly of machines that do a good and fast and efficient job of
copper taping. I've got a catalog with a Glastar machine. Is it any
good? Are any of them any good? If yes, which ones?
Thanks, Michael

In Contract! by
glassman
I'm finally in contract to sell my building, with all the inventory, to a
friendly competitor. In a million to 1 shot, he desperately needs to find a
new place to work, with his deal to buy his current space having fallen
through. I'm too young to retire, but the timing was just right. He's a...

clear glass desktop too dusty/dirty...any solutions? by
Russell Holladay
I have a computer desk that has clear glass tops. When clean they are fine,
but they show every speck of dust, and every handprint. Is there something
that can be done to the glass, like sandblasting or etching, that would
maintain the smooth surface, but hide or decrease the visibility of the...

Kokomo Glass factory by
Michael[_2_]
A long two hour drive from Bloomington up to Kokomo and I got to see
the place for the first time. It's a dump. Exposed ceiling joists
and writing and carving on the walls and broken glass on the floor and
scrap pieces in beat-up metal cans. And long corridors with hundreds
of 8 foot tall...

Thermal Pane by
Michael[_2_]
I visited with a very nice lady at Southern Glass down here at
Jacksonville a few days ago. They were using a perimeter spacer and
adding a eighth-inch plate of glass to either side, making the panes a
complete and energy-efficient window between outside and inside.
Has anybody else done this? ...

Glass from hell by
Michael[_2_]
I was doing a rose window over the weekend and I got in a wrestling
match with some Spectrum red ruby waterglass and it just about whupped
me. I produced scrap on about a quarter of the pieces, having to redo
some three times.
To be honest, it wasn't all the glass's fault. I'd been lucky...

Bevels by
Michael[_2_]
Could you suggest an online retail source for a large variety of off-
the-shelf bevels? I've got a couple places, Glass Crafters and
Cathedral Stained Glass for example, that I've seen them, but I get
the feeling that their selection is limited.
Thanks, Michael
