A different use for Paua by
Marisa Cappetta
I work with a young woman who is studying fashion design. I think she is
very talented and will go far one day (and I've told her so). Yesterday, she
wore a classic skirt made from charcoal grey shantung. She had trimmed the
entire hemline to knee with small pieces paua shell. It was...

AD: Hubert The Tropical Fish by
Juanita Floyd
Hubie is looking for a new home. He likes children, dogs, and cats that are
afraid of water. His nutritional needs are minimal, and mostly he just wants to
hang around your neck and love on you.

donation request for MS Walk OT by
Cheryl
Not that it pertains to your fund raiser at all, but my pocket money next
month is going to DD's school. The kids have no sporting equipment, and the
gym teacher has been buying them soccer balls and basketballs from his own
wallet. This guy works three jobs to make ends meet, and having to pay...

I was IMing TerriLee the other night, and she said that she just had to come over to
visit before my surgery...and of course, I said right away to come on over! Imagine
my surprise when she walks in the door today with a box...that had the most beautiful
quilt in it that I had ever seen. I was...

Drill Gauge -- not OT by
EL
DH left a plastic drill gauge on the dining room table the other day. I'd
never noticed it before, but it's a really neat thing to have for gauging
bead sizes. His is in inches, and shows the millimeters as well. It's
remarkably handy for sorting out 3mm and 4mm beads and reminding me how...

bought my first lampwork bead today by
Amber
I've found that since I've started reading more books, magazines, and
groups like this about beadwork, the range of materials I've used has
vastly expanded. See, for a while I didn't pay much attention to glass
or lampworked beads. Until very recently, there was only one craft
store in my town, and...

New pic tonight by
Marissa Undercofler
I made a new piece tonight. My first ever piece made for a man. My hubby
found his wedding ring while futzing around early this morning, and it
doesn't fit on his hand anymore. Rather than having it resized (his knuckles
are bigger than the bottom part of his finger where the ring would lay),...

Project planning by
Bungadora
Well, I went to the LBS Saturday and this set me to wondering how people plan
their projects.
In my case, I work at a very small scale, but I'm afraid I don't plan that
well. I bought way more than I need but rationalized I can use the stock for
future projects. The beads are intended to complete...
