Baseball swap sign-ups by
Kay Ahr
Boo, hoo!! This is one of those things I've decided to drop since my income
is dropping and I still have medical bills to pay from January. Had to make
some hard decisions. As of tomorrow I will be RETIRED!! (No this is not an
April Fool's joke.) Maybe next year -- as I see how the budget...

apps for red and qhite quilt show by
Susan Laity Price
a friend sent the following apps for the red and quilt show in NYC
http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/american-folk-art-museum-presents/id427267140?mt=\8
She warned it took a long time to load but was worth it. She didn't
say if there was a charge. I do not have any equipment to load apps.
Is there a...

HUG Quilt Thank You by
Dreamweaver[_2_]
I have been blessed with a HUG. It arrived at a time when it was so
dearly needed and I am forever blessed. I am grateful to all who
contributed and all who could contribute in Spirit only. It has been
baptized with many tears already. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!
Here's a link to my facebook page...

Vent- quilting, dogs, rain, blood- LONG by
Leslie & The Furbabies in MO.
Let me set the stage- it's thundering and lightening... almost nonstop.
Hoover and Simon don't much care for all this but Dottie goes berserk in
absolute terror. The ONLY place she feels safe is on mommy. Not close by
but *ON* mommy. She's shivering and shaking and panting non-stop. ...

Quilt retreat in danger by
Sunny[_2_]
Oh ... I have paid for and reserved a week at a quilt retreat on the
Oregon coastline the last week of April/first days of May with a dear
friend who moved to Oregon a year ago. She called today. She is having
terrifying health problems and probably can't make it to the retreat.
The fee is...

PING @ Ginger in CA by
Ursula Schrader
Hi Ginger,
I finished my block for the right foot saved quilt and will send it out as
soon as I know:
- does one sign the block?
- may one send a comment to the person who assembles the quilt?
Thanks for answering my novice questions. ;-)

A crib quilt for Japan? by
Polly Esther[_5_]
For no reason I know of, Luana Rubin has me on her email list. For sure,
most of my quilts to donate are made with donated fabric and I'm not a very
good customer. Anyhow, her newsletter this week is quite something.
There's an Air Force commander who will arrange shipment of quilts for the...

OT hugging in public by
Polly Esther[_5_]
Back in the 50's and 60's, there are those of you who were cautioned about a
PDA. (gasp) Public Display of Affection. We don't even want to know
what's done in public these days... but for the 1st time that I remember
here at rctq, there's a hug afoot (sorry, just could not help myself)...

Long Arm Quilter by

Thanks for the info. Taria in Victorville, CA sent me information for a long arm quilter in Big Bear, where I have a cabin. I just arrived at my cabin today....two feet of fresh snow in the last day and half! I met with the quilter and left her with two lap size quilts. I'm getting lazy in my old...

The last four photos in my webshots account show the quilt I recently
finished. It was made from Block of the Month blocks and was a great place
to practice some FM quilting. I really enjoy doing that now! I notice some
improvement each time I do it. No wonder the experts say "practice,...

Vegas Shop Tour by
Kimberley Graham
Looking for quilt shops in Vegas, saw a website for a company that does shop
hops on demand...4 Vegas quilt shops plus lunch. Price seems a bit high to
me: $80! Has anyone done this? Is it worth it, or can I walk/bus to quilt
shops from the strip? I'm not totally sure I want to desert my husband...
