It's been such a long time since I poked in here. Life kinda took over, but I'm baa--ack!. (Some of you may know me from other venues.) Anyhoo, I'm wondering how many of you are planning on coming out to Washington for Ravensdale this Summer? I'm really looking forward to getting together...

2 questions by mermaidscove_com
You might want to try a "bead roller", they are plastic doohickeys you use to roll a bead shape, they come with holes that you use to guide a pin through, since it is still in the shaped bead trough it doesn't distort. They make a few different shape beads. I am using canes but only abstract...

2 questions by Barbara Forbes-Lyons
No, I don't always use canes for my beads. Sometimes I use solid colors and make swirlies, or scrap clay and cover with mica powders or paints...or use inclusions in translucent clay...or...lol. As far as holes go, it takes practice. I rarely pre-drill my beads before baking. I find it easier to...

New here and new to clay by mermaidscove_com
Hi, Actually if you like colors and playing with clay is fun, you are artistic! :) You only need to sand, polish or seal if you want to. Sealing is considered a good idea if you use metallic powders or leafing foils but not needed with straight clay. If you sand and polish you get a smooth shiny...

products--whats new? by Sarajane Helm
What have you tried recently with polymer clay that you hadnt before? I really like the new Krylon plastics spray paint. Its great for covering base peices of mosaic/collage work, whether extruded or formed plastic or on foam or cardboard. I see there's also a "mystic prism" spray thats clear with...
