OT Weather was Banned from the Garden!--very long by
LdyTegan
Ambivalent is the word - good word for someone who`s been
awake all night because it was so cotton-pickin` HOT.
Pat P
And I STILL say, it's not hot where you are! Come here, darling! When I got off
the plane in KC at 1am it was STILL 95 humid degrees... Apparently I brought

Linens for the wealthy by

Thought you might enjoy this little article which appeared in USAToday's

scrumptious.

What is the easiest sort of needlework to learn?
Is it knitting? Crochet? Embroidery? Tatting? What?
Thanks to anyone who answers
Crochet was easy for me to learn. At least it's an easy ripout.

Hands suitable for silk work by
[email protected]
I have had trouble this winter , using all sorts of creams so they are
all lined up, to get my hands good for silk work. Nothing seemed to
work. Then at Christmas, visited my daughter and she had this Satin
Hands Pampering Kit that she had bought from a Mary Kay lady. It was
amazing and it is the...

question from X-stitch newbie by
[email protected]
Hi all.
I've started to work on a cross-stitch and I have a question that's
not covered in my instructions. What do I do when the square has two
symbols in it? Which floss do I use? Am I supposed to do a stich with
both colors of floss?
Thanks for the help.

Really Elizabeth aren`t you just tired of it,,,, for God`s sake can`t
you grow up and stop behaving like a little girl ,, sticking her
finger in her nose and making Yayayaya noises.
There comes a point , when it isn`t even funny anymore.

Just gotta say it... by
Karen E.
I hate the whole "Red Hat" craze. I love the poem. Adore it. The
commercializtion of it? Repulsive. (I don't use that word lightly.) The
designers who are plastering red hat charms and such on any design to
make it more marketable have lost a lot of my respect.
I realize that many women may be...

Needlework Tablecloth by
Russell Miller
I have....had a tablecloth that I bought it at a second hand store. I
loved this tablecloth. But that was before my washing machine ate it.
Yup, just chewed it up and spit out all the little pieces. This
tablecloth seemed to be a fine white cotton or linen. It ironed up
beautifully. It had...

Birthday s.e.x. by

Yesterday I hit the big 5-0. sigh. There were a couple of bright
spots, though. My family had a party for me on Sunday. The brighter
spots among the presents: my brother (3 yrs. younger) decided that since
I was now "old", I deserved an old present. He brought in a huge box

OT, Hummel collectors by
Boohoo1971
I just got the Barons catalog and there are a lot of Hummels in there at very
reduced prices. I am not a Hummel collector, but the sale prices looked mighty
good to me, for example, "All Aboard" collectors had a conductor figure and
"Homeward Bound" landscape for $99.98 and originally was $225. ...

Planning a dream trip-needlework related by

Okay, here's the deal, my bff and I are planning a trip around the US
next summer after she retires. In addition to the usual sights, we
want to stop at as many LNS, and beading, and quilting, and book shops
as we can. I have a van and we plan to only take a minimum of
clothing. What shops are...

Blackwork for Dummies by

At yesterday's EGA SIG meeting, someone was working on a blackwork design for
